Job Responsibilities:
- Identify relevant new and remodel construction projects using CMD commercial construction project lead source and other sales project search resources.
- Verify product specifications with project architects and communicate with general contractors and or glazing contractors.
- Initiate project bid process by reaching out to architects, general contractors and/or glazing contractors and providing competitive quotes.
- Submit for Request for Approvals (RFA's or RFQ's) to get products specified and bid in relevant commercial projects.
- Independently provide sales quotes to clients utilizing the quoting process and quoting tools available.
- Negotiate pricing with clients to achieve revenue and profitability targets set by management.
- Support Manufacturers Representatives with project leads, quotes, training and technical support to help them grow the business in their particular territories.
- Responsible for ordering, managing, and completing multiple projects at the same time.
- Manages and tracks any sales project changes, revisions, revised purchase orders and changes order documents
- Communicate and coordinate sales project activity with Production Team.
- Provide competitive market knowledge that allows the Company to make strategic decisions for specific market segments which will ultimately impact the Company's growth and profitability.
- Record and track all sales project quotes, bids, sales, and construction schedules.
- Attend weekly/monthly sales project update meetings with outside/inside sales team.
- Implement Sales Department operating practices.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints on behalf of Management.
- Assist with planning long-term and short-term business objectives.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
- 2 - 3 years of verifiable project sales management experience in a fast-paced sales and manufacturing environment, construction, or other closely related field.
- Experience working with commercial architects, general contractors and glazing installers.
- Ability to read, interpret, & understand architectural drawings and specifications.
- Organized self-starter with the ability to handle multiple sales projects, prioritize workload and work with minimal supervision
- Experience with a CRM, CMD, Dodge, IsqFt or other project lead platforms helpful.
- Mechanical aptitude required to understand and sell our product.
- Excellent and professional communication skills - email and phone manner.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
- Project Management Certification is a plus
- Attention to detail.
