Architect II (Full-Time)

Position Overview:
We seek a full-time licensed Architect II to join our Seattle team. Successful candidates will manage healthcare architecture projects across all phases from programming through construction administration. They will be responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned major project, including investigation, evaluation and recommendation of design solutions that best meet the client's needs. Duties & Responsibilities:
* Provide design leadership and technical expertise to determine project requirements for scope, schedule, budget, specifications, materials, equipment, estimated costs, and completion times
* Provide professional architectural consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large complex projects
* Independently apply advanced architectural concepts and designs
* Carry out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures
* Coordinate design work with internal team, consultants, clients and regulatory agencies
* Provide technical guidance to less experienced architects
* Manage & lead projects
* Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Required Experience:
* Licensed Architect with at least 8 years of professional experience
* Four-year degree in Architecture
* Portfolio of work that demonstrates excellence in design thinking
* Experience leading and mentoring junior staff
* Revit proficiency
* Healthcare project experience
* Experience with project management and juggling multiple projects
* Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to effectively communicate issues and concerns to stakeholders, vendors and project team members
Preferred Experience:
* Senior living and behavioral health project experience
* Commitment to promoting equitable, diverse and inclusive business practices
* Experience in applying Lean or Agile principles to design and construction
* LEED accreditation, EDAC certification
* Commitment to promoting sustainable business practices
Physical requirements needed to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation:
* Ability to operate a keyboard, mouse, phone and perform repetitive motion (keyboard); writing (notetaking); reading and analyzing written material
* Ability to sit for long periods; stand, sit, reach, bend, lift up to thirty (30) lbs
* Ability to express or exchange ideas to impart information to the public and internal employees and to convey detailed instructions accurately and quickly
The MINIMUM base salary for this exempt position is equivalent to an annual salary of $90,000, depending on experience.
