Substitute Librarian  (Part Time)
Location: Groton

SUBSTITUTE LIBRARIAN

Groton Public Library

Part-Time, up to 18 hours per week, shifts will vary; may include days, evenings and weekend hours

STARTING RATE: $22.50/hour

POSITION RANGE: $22.50-$23.50/hour

POSITION OVERVIEW & REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The Substitute Librarian provides assistance to library patrons in the selection, acquisition, organization, and use of books, periodicals, and materials, as well as searching of databases, using online tools, and automated indexes. Demonstrated ability to effectively work with the public. Municipal library experience, preferred. Comfortable with technology, ability to work with patrons of all ages and one year of reference experience desired. Masters degree in Library Science and computer skills required. Bilingual, experience with library software systems, in particular SIRSI, preferred.
