Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner (Full Time)
Department: Cardiology
Location: 1326 Eisenhower Drive, Savannah, GA

SouthCoast Health is looking for a Full-Time NP/PA For Our Cardiology Department

Position splits time between hospital and outpatient clinic

Provides medical care under the supervision of a licensed physician. Educates patients and patient families. Performs scope of work as outlined in state guidelines, laws, rules and regulations.

Responsibilities:

Rounds on cardiac patients in hospital
Works in Cardiology outpatient clinic
Supervises stress tests
Charts on patients condition and confer with attending physicians
Contacts Cardiology office for coordination of patient care (appointments, patient demo and clinical information, etc.)
Peer to peer reviews
Documents findings and actions in the medical record in a concise, accurate and timely manner.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

NP-Masters degree in Nursing. Successful completion of accredited nurse practitioner program. Minimum of three (3) years professional nursing experience in a clinic setting plus one year of nurse practitioner experience preferred.

PA- BA/BS, Masters preferred. Graduate of AMA accredited physician assistant program. Minimum of one (1) year experience as a physician assistant, preferably in clinic setting.

REQUIREMENTS:

Current GA NP/PA licensure. Current BLS/ACLS CPR Certification.

Certification from an accredited credentialing body.
