Office Hours:8:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; 10:30 to 6:30 pm, Tuesday. This is a salaried, exempt position.

Pay Rate: $95,000 to $103,000 per year

Education: Master's degree or Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in a mental health-related field, such as Psychology, Social or Counseling required

Licensure: An active license as an LMFT, LCSW or LPCC with the California Board of Behavioral Science for at least 2 years is required

As a Program Director, you will:

Provide oversight of the day-to-day operations of Step Forward Central, to include contractual requirements, staff management, client care, and quality assurance and control.

  • Provide effective leadership for program staff to include the full spectrum of staff management functions, including hiring, training, motivation, evaluations, performance coaching and development.
  • Act as a role model for client care as well as provide hands-on assistance for program.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions with clients and members of clients families in a timely and professional manner as well as re-evaluate client service plans when needing extensions.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning with our identified partners, i.e. Social Services, Welfare to Work (WTW) staff, Family Stabilization, and other treatment providers connected to contract compliance and serving WTW clients.
  • Monitor budget, cost reports and related fiscal matters.
  • Participate in County meetings and County workgroups as needed.
  • Ensure billings and service delivery meets standards of the contract.

Additional Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with hard-to-serve populations, such as SMI, SED, SUD
  • A minimum of 2 years of management/supervisory experience within a County Mental Health program (CalWORKs Behavioral Health Center preferred, but not required)
  • Strong clinical skills and an ability to handle high stress and fast-paced environments
  • Experience providing MediCal/Medicaid services
  • Ability to lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated knowledge of County Health and Human Services requirements including documentation and writing assessments in an EHR is required
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically Word and Excel
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential
  • A valid California driver's license in good standing and eligibility to be an approved CRF driver is required to fulfill the essential functions of this position. In addition, proof of insurance is required prior to driving personal vehicles on company business.
  • Ability to pass criminal/background clearance
