Hours: 40 hours per week. Clinic hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm; Wednesday, 11:00 am to 7:00 pm

Pay Rate: $38.83 to $40.87 per hour

Education: Master’s degree in a mental health related field such as Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling required

Licensure:  License-eligible or registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) required

As a Clinician I, you will:

• Conduct initial behavioral health assessment of new clients and/or returning clients; performs collateral interviews as indicated.
• Provide individual and group psychosocial behavioral health services and activities for clients, including COD clients.
• Assist the client in developing client service plan goals, prioritizing areas of need, and steps needed to reach goals established, as well as identified areas of strength.
• Continually monitor progress towards goals and supports client’s efforts toward self-sufficiency.

Additional Qualifications and Skills

• Bilingual Spanish is required for this position
• At least two years of related experience and/or training
• Training and experience with working with clients with co-occurring disorders; Motivational Interviewing training preferred.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Office
• Reliable transportation is required to fulfill the essential functions of this position. A valid California driver’s license in good standing and proof of insurance are required for employees driving personal vehicles on company business
• Able to pass criminal/background clearance

Maria Sardinas Wellness Recovery Center is one of our Adult Outpatient programs (AOP), which provide behavioral health services including psychiatric and clinical assessment, treatment planning, ongoing medication services, individual and group counseling, case management, crisis intervention, mobile outreach, vocational support, and peer support. We deliver fully integrated services to adult clients diagnosed with a serious mental illness, as well as individuals with co-occurring, mental health, and substance use disorders.

All of our outpatient programs also provide full-time walk-in services. Our programs utilize evidence-based practices to assist our clients in reaching their goals and to live the highest quality of life while managing their mental illness.
