Adult Day Services Supervisor Needed!

The pay for this position is $20.02-$23.36/hour.

+ Education and Experience

  • Associates Degree in Human Services preferred; High School Diploma and/or GED required in addition to two (2) years of relevant experience in lieu of Associate Degree.
  • Three years relevant experience required supporting adults with developmental disabilities.
  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Day Habilitation, Job Development, DDA and DORS service definitions required.
  • Any certifications necessary for the job will be paid for and coordinated through Benedictine.
  • Valid drivers license


+ Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direction, training, and daily support to staff.
  • Develop and monitor work schedules for staff.
  • Hire staff as needed to meet staffing goals.
  • Oversee the onboarding and training of newly hired staff.
  • As needed, conduct corrective action meetings and/or conduct disciplinary action meetings with corresponding documentation.
  • Complete 90 day evaluations for new hires and annual performance evaluations for all direct report staff.
  • Schedule and monitor staff required trainings to ensure compliance.
  • Review and approve timecards or online time submissions and submit to Finance in accordance with payroll deadlines.
  • Coordinate transportation services and monitor vehicle usage and mileage documentation.
  • Monitor petty cash account and submit reimbursement form to Finance as needed.
  • Ensure progress documentation for each person supported via Therap and/or other approved forms.
  • Monitor daily attendance and complete billable hours forms; submit to Vocational Administrative Assistant bi-monthly.
  • Provide direct support during staff vacancies.
  • Provide crisis intervention services, as needed and complete appropriate incident reports in a timely fashion per direction of Benedictine administration.
  • Familiarize and utilize technology to support communication and therapeutic needs.
  • Ensure persons supported meaningful activities are acknowledged through Benedictine publications.
  • Utilize strategies that promote skill development, self-sufficiency and independence while ensuring health and safety.
  • Work in cooperation with community job developer.
  • Support and promote advocacy groups, activities and training.


+ Working Conditions

Hours of work

  • Full time
  • Day shift, Monday thru Friday 8am-4pm; hours may vary based on program needs.

Overtime expectations

  • Overtime is not required but is regularly available and much appreciated. Any employee can request extra hours, regardless of seniority

Work environment

  • Group home, community or office setting. 

Travel requirements

  • Positions working with the adult community require you to have a relatively clean driving record as transporting individuals may be required. We have Benedictine vehicles to use for transportation purposes, use of your own vehicle is not required. If authorized to use your own vehicle for work related purposes, Benedictine pays $0.67/mile for reimbursement.

On-call responsibilities

  • Not required for this position.
