The pay for this position is $51,525.00 - $54,462.00/year.
Located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland; An easy 35-40 minute commute from Dover, DE, Bridgeville, DE, and Trappe, MD, and roughly 45 minutes from the Bay Bridge.
Full time, Monday - Friday, day shift, following the 223-school calendar

+ Education and Experience
Must have Bachelor's degree and valid teaching certificate in Special Education meeting the Highly Qualified criteria.
A Conditional Certificate, valid for two years, may be requested bytheEducational Director for an individual with a BA/BS who does not yet meetthecertification requirements for a Standard Professional certificate or Highly Qualified criteria.This individual would be required to meettherequirements fortherenewal oftheConditional Certificate until a SPC or APC is obtained and to meetthecriteria for Highly Qualified.
+ Key Responsibilities
Implement the current Individual Education Plan with updates as necessary.
Supervise children in areas assigned and according to behavioral management plans designated.
Evaluate each assigned child's attainment of goals as stated in the IEP
Submits progress and other reports as required by the school program or requested by School administrators
Implement strategies and provides materials and equipment as appropriate for the population served.
Complete, in advance, and maintain lesson plans, protocol and schedules for daily planning
Maintain records as required by Federal and State Laws/Bylaws as well as confidentiality of records.
Attend and participate in faculty meetings, interviews, in-service sessions, Parent conferences and other activities as required by the school calendar and/or School administration.
Supervise and document performance of classroom staff with follow-up on goals and outcomes of performance/coaching lessons
Attend annual review and other requested/required meetings for children enrolled at The Benedictine School upon request
Administer state testing to students as directed by School administration and submit documentation in a timely manner
Summary:Provides instruction, directly and with the assistance of Education Assistants and Classroom Assistants, of students with developmental disabilities in education, vocational, functional and self-help, social-emotional, and behavioral areas. Instruction in enhanced by the ongoing collaboration with other team members (i.e. behavior department, parents, related services, etc.) in a multi-disciplinary approach.

Full time
Monday - Friday 8:15am-3:30pm, this position follows the school calendar.
No weekends.
Overtime expectations
Overtime is not required but is regularly available and much appreciated. Any employee can request extra hours, regardless of seniority
Work environment
Classroom setting.
Travel requirements
You must have a relatively clean driving record as transporting individuals may be required. We have Benedictine vehicles to use for transportation purposes. Use of your own vehicle is not required.
On-call responsibilities
