    • Located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland; An easy 35-40 minute commute from Dover, DE, Bridgeville, DE, and Trappe, MD, and roughly 45 minutes from the Bay Bridge.

+ Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED plus a minimum of three years Human Services experience required.
  • Must have valid drivers license and cleaning driving record.
  • Any certifications necessary for the job will be paid for and coordinated through Benedictine


+ Key Responsibilities

  • Develop groups and programs in consideration of the needs, goals, abilities and interests of the people supported.
  • Initiate and plan the Monthly Master calendar in conjunction with Supervisors, Discovery/Resource Specialist, Job Developers, and Program Coordinators and others.
  • Develop more specific weekly activity calendars.
  • Create, plan and facilitate larger special events geared toward full inclusion of people supported and staff. This may include securing approval, arranging logistics, eliciting participation to include staff buy-in, arranging finances and supplies needed, etc.
  • Communicate to all stakeholders appropriately about the events and activities planned to include the development of promotional materials and flyers, and email distribution lists.
  • Build and maintain a teamwork atmosphere that is inclusive and supportive of staff and their abilities to create programming activities.
  • Develop and maintain a professional network of community partners to assist us in all areas of support, this includes employers, training partners, therapists and therapy programs, volunteer opportunities, community based contacts, and more.

+ Working Conditions

Hours of work

  • Full time
  • Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm

Overtime expectations

  • Overtime is not required but is regularly available and much appreciated. Any employee can request extra hours, regardless of seniority

Work environment

  • Mostly an office setting.

Travel requirements

  • Minimal, if at all.

On-call responsibilities

  • Not required for this position.
