We are looking for talented nursing students to work full-time in the summer with a licensed RN preceptor for six weeks. Potential primary areas for student rotations include: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry, Emergency Department, Obstetrics, ICU, Clinical Decision Unit, and Inpatient Rehab.

Temporary Full-time shifts-36 hours weekly for 6 weeks (216 hours). We have four positions available. Deadline to apply is March 21, 2025.

Job Duties- Under the direct supervision of an RN preceptor:

  • Assess patients within two hours of admission and reassess every shift and as needed as condition warrants
  • Document assessments scores, and interventions throughout the patient's hospital stay
  • Formulate nursing diagnosis and an individualized plan of care bases on assessment and patient needs and review/revise the plan of care as needed
  • Perform nursing procedures, specific to area of practice, safely, efficiently, and with technical skill
  • Administer and document medications as ordered

The ideal candidate:

  • Organized and productive when performing tasks
  • Possess the ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals, as well as have the ability to be sensitive to the feelings of others
  • Have the ability to effectively present information publicly
  • Possess good oral as well as written communication skills
  • Must be a student in an accredited RN-BSN nursing school program who is between their junior and senior year, or will be a December graduate
  • Knowledge of nursing practice and skills completed through their junior year of nursing school
