Summary Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished safely and within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Understands OSHA standards relating to industrial services and that working safely is a job requirement; Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.
  2. Understands and complies with CSE, Inc. Safety Program, rules, regulations and updates.
  3. Reviews project proposal or plans to determine safety requirements, safety training, time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
  4. Prepares proposals for clients and submits bids based on project criteria.
  5. Establishes work plan, staffing for each phase of project and scope of authority, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
  6. Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project safely progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  7. Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required; Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
  8. Confers with project personnel about safety compliance; Provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
  9. Cultivates relationships with clients to facilitate future sales opportunities.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the Industrial Services Department. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience: Four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, etc.

 

Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Driver's License.

 

Other Qualifications: Must be able to travel.  Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
