Rigging Foreman  (Full Time)

Summary: Leads work crews and workers engaged in lifting and moving materials, and machines, using power operated equipment such as cranes, hoists, winches, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

a.Complies with the highest level of safety during all stages of project execution to avoid any type of incidents and or accidents.

b.Has practical knowledge of Regulatory Compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), CSE, Inc. Rules and Regulations and Site-Specific Rules and Regulations.

c.Understands OSHA standards relating to Steel Erection; understands and complies with CSE, Inc. Safety Program, rules, regulations and updates.

d.Works within AISC Certification Procedures.

e.Familiar with and enforces strict compliance with all QA/QC and Safety procedures.

f.Trained to safely operate forklifts, JLG type man-lifts, scissor-lifts and similar equipment.

g.Observes 100% of tie-offs.

h.Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in rigging activities.

i.Specifies locations for movement and deployment of rigging equipment using knowledge of various sliding and lifting equipment.

j.Leads and controls skilled labor and work crews engaged in all activities concerned with rigging.

k.Commands respect of workforce and develops excellent working relationships with all other department personnel as well as client management.

l.Ensures work crews are properly supplied with tools, equipment and materials.

m.Optimizes resources to ensure efficient and timely completion of work.

n.Keeps records of all work completed; documents and records time, equipment, and materials used in production of project scope of work, for outside the scope ofwork.

o.Proceeds only after written authorization is received oris notified to provide by Project Manager.

p.Obtains customer signatures on documents.

q.Documents employee absenteeism, policy violations and performance/behavior warnings on appropriate forms. Notifies HR immediately of same.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversees field employees engaged in steel erection and ironworking activities.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty safely and satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: Minimum High School Certificate plus certificate or diploma or equivalent professional qualification. Extensive familiarity with rigging works with at least 3 years of experience as Foreman or Lead Person.

Language Skills: Ability to read, interpret, and follow project documents includingspecifications, drawings, project plans, lift plans, procedures, and memos. Able to give instructions efficiently and effectively to workforce. Communicates with Project Managers to ensure the optimum outcome.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digitnumbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations usingunits of Americanmoney and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver's license. Must meet all CSE MVR criteria.

Other Qualifications Must be able to travel. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
