Summary Directs activities of workers concerned with installation of machinery or equipment, welding, piping, fabrication, demolition, or other construction projects by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

1.Has practical knowledge of Regulatory Compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations, CSE, Inc. Rules and Regulations and Site-Specific Rules and Regulations

a.Conducts safety inspections and holds safety meeting.

b.Trained to safely operate forklifts, JLG type man lifts, scissor lifts; use power actuated tools

2.Assumes responsibility of site supervision, organizing, planning and prioritizing work.

a.In conjunction with the Project Manager or Superintendent, studies specifications to plan procedures for industrial services on the basis of safety hazards, start and completion times and safety and staffing requirements for each phase of outage, expansion, maintenance or construction

b.Confers with and directs personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning; execute safe work procedures, interpret specifications, and coordinate various phases of projects

c.Confers with supervisory and engineering personnel and inspectors and suppliers of equipment.

d.Orders procurement of safety equipment, tools and materials to be picked up or delivered

e.Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construct schedules; prepares or reviews reports on progress, materials used and cost and adjust work schedules as indicated by reports.

3.Quality Control

a.Knowledge of the companys quality systems ensuring all site personnel adheres to them at all times.

b.Prior to commencement of site work, gain an understanding of the relevant project specifications and drawings.

c.Monitor all work against specifications to ensure continuing quality and accuracy of work performed.

d.Notify the Project Manager of any defects, mistake, errors or variations identified.

e.Ensures all quality checklists are properly completed.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises up to 10 employees in the industrial services crew. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience: Four year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Driver's License. Must meet CSE, Inc. MVR criteria.

Other Qualifications: Must be able to travel.  Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
