Back to Category List Job Description Production Control Facilitator - 1st shift (Full Time) Position Summary Ensures accurate inventory by verifying part numbers and locations, as well as organizing and maintaining stock bins. Transport materials using various handling equipment, deliver kits and shortages, adjust inventory levels, and adhere to cycle count schedules. Position requires knowledge of computer and MRP systems along with basic math skills. Typically reports to a supervisor. Essential Job Functions Verify Part Numbers and Locations: Match part numbers on incoming parts with bin locations to ensure proper placement of materials. Organize Materials: Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence for storage. Maintain Stock Bins: Ensure accurate counts and proper labeling of stock bins; set up new bins as needed. Prioritize Parts Assignment: Determine the priority for parts to be pulled. Transport Materials: Retrieve and convey parts, equipment, and materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas. Load parts and materials onto carts or use appropriate material-moving equipment. Deliver Kits and Shortages: Deliver kits and shortages to supported work centers. Operate Material Handling Equipment: Use material handling equipment such as electric carts, push carts, pallet jacks, trucks, skids, and hand tools to transport items as necessary. Adjust Inventory Levels: Report inventory discrepancies as required to supervisor or lead. Adhere to Cycle Count Schedule: Follow the cycle count schedule and policy. Inspect and Report: Scrutinize every facet of the job and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to the Supervisor. Perform Housekeeping: Perform housekeeping chores as required by the department. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned. |
