Human Resources Specialist (5036)  (Full Time)

RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the Director of Benefits and Employee Relations, the Human Resources Specialist performs a variety of assignments in support of the Agencys human resources division. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, provides administrative support to the Director of Benefits and Employee Relations and the Director of Human Resources; assists with the administration of various employee benefit programs; serves as a liaison with benefit vendors; assists with the open enrollment process and related employee communications; assists to ensure plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and plan provisions; assists with coordination of building and grounds maintenance at 245 Hairston Street; responsible for maintenance of office equipment shared by Human Resources, Finance, Compliance and IS divisions; provides guidance to employees and supervisors on benefits and other HR related topics; performs special projects, research, and surveys; demonstrates a high degree of initiative and exercises independent judgment within assigned area of responsibility; maintains strict confidentiality; and exercises discretion in all communications.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements
M1:Associates Degree in Administrative Support Technology or similar field
M2: At least one year working experience in an office setting

Preferred Requirements
P1:Experience in employee benefits administration
P2: Building and grounds maintenance coordination experience

Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request. Our Agency maintains a drug-free workplace.

ANNUAL SALARY RANGE
$37,090 - $64,908
