POSITION SUMMARY
The Electrical Technician will build, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical control and automation equipment used in the manufacturing of company products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Basic control and power wiring from schematics
- Troubleshoot, build, and repair electrical equipment and controls
- Verify safe reliable machine operation
- Complete assigned projects with supervision
- Handle confidential information on a regular basis
- Perform other duties as directed by the Machine Engineering Supervisor and/or the Lead Electrical Engineer
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma with a minimum of 5 years of experience; or post-secondary training with 1 -2 years of experience
- Electrical troubleshooting skills
- Read and follow electrical schematics
- Good basic math skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as required
- Ability to use computer and software as required
