Recovery Coach
POSITION OVERVIEW: A Recovery Coach promotes and contributes to a culture of recovery in JFK‘s rehabilitative psych program. Coaches will provide quality service by:
- Providing individual or group coaching, counseling, mentoring, instruction, training, feedback, and positive reinforcement for the participant in areas outlined in their Recovery Plan.
- Teaching coping and life skills that promote independence and resilience.
- Educating clients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and recovery strategies.
- Identifying and linking participants with community resources.
- Completing daily program documentation accurately & on time.
- Attending required meetings, trainings, and CEU courses as determined by JFK, regulatory agencies and Psychiatric Rehabilitation Standards of Practice
WE ARE SEEKING DEDICATED PROFESSIONALS WHO:
- Desire to embrace and advance the philosophy and objectives of JFK Behavioral Health.
- Can facilitate a customized and engaging rehabilitation atmosphere for populations having pervasive mental illness and/or diminished intellectual capacity.
- Can demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competence.
- Exhibit an understanding of the principals of recovery in clinical practice.
- Have a familiarity with the behavioral health system.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree
- Have at least one-year work experience in mental health direct care.
- CPRP Certification, or ability to obtain within two year of work.
SCHEDULE: Full-time; Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
