We are currently seeking an RMA-Family Medicine located in our hospital (main campus) in Newton, KS. As an RMAyou will perform general nursing services of assigned physicians and/or department. In accordance with HIPAA regulations, this position requires full access to Protected Health Information (PHI). This position assists in multiple areas based on the needs of our clinics. In this role, duties may includes but are not limited to; rooming patients, collection of health history, data entry, phone triage, assisting providers with patient care and procedures. We recognize we can't provide the level of compassionate care that we do without the dedicated work of people like you. QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology to communicate with laboratory staff, nursing staff, providers and physicians.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
  • Ability to carry out instructions of doctors.
  • Ability to carry out instructions of doctors.
  • Ability to exhibit initiative and sound judgment in the absence of specific orders.
  • Ability to anticipate provider's needs.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to follow written protocols.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures.
  • Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • On the telephone and in face-to-face contact with patients she/he represents the doctors to these people, and by his/her personality, warmth and efficient helpful manner plays a vital role in the doctor's practice. By exhibiting a cooperative, helpful manager toward other clinic employees, the medical assistant can elicit cooperation and help from others when needed.

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Registered or Certified Medical Assistant
  • 1-2 years of clinic experience preferred
