We are hiring Payment Specialist Part-Time (P/T) for our Accounting Department. The Payment Specialist is responsible for posting all incoming money receipts and taking patient payment phone calls for the Hospital and Clinics. This includes insurance payment posting with adjustments, patient balance payments, and out side parties accounts receivable payments. The position provides important support to the Clinical and Hospital Billing Staff.

This position reports to the Payment Supervisor. This position is hourly (non-exempt).

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Knowledge & Skills

• Competence with spreadsheet software
• Familiarity with word processing and other computer applications
• Banking or insurance posting experience preferred
• Call center experience preferred
• Proficient in 10-key

• Follows hospital-wide and departmental policies, including but not limited to general procedures, assigned duties, confidentiality, and observing the Patient's Bill of Rights
• Other duties are assigned
• Accepts direction in a professional manner
