Physical Therapist  (Full Time)
Location: Medical Center - 600 Medical Center Drive, Newton, KS, 67114

A staff Physical Therapist assumes responsibility in the daily activities of therapy services. This includes the potential for evaluating and developing treatment plans for inpatients, skilled swing bed, IRU, and outpatients. A staff therapist administers physical therapy treatment to patients as defined in the Kansas Physical Therapy Practice Act. A staff therapist has the responsibility for the overall direction, utilization, supervision, instruction, and evaluation of professional and supportive staff and students in their area of rehabilitation services. In addition, the staff therapist is involved in documenting as necessary and appropriate, while also assisting with, or actively participating in, ACHS and safety procedures for the department/organization.

This position is hourly (non-exempt). 

When working in Outpatient Therapy, this position reports directly to the Director of Outpatient Services. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • Graduate of a physical therapy curriculum approved by (APTA) or the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience preferred
  • APTA and/or KPTA member preferred. 

Licensure and certifications:

  • BLS certification required
  • Must have obtained Kansas state license
