Clinical Therapist  (Full Time)

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

The Clinical Therapist role will consist of running a full-time clinical case load with 60 min visits up to 40 clinic hours per week. The candidate will be required to do intakes as well as treatment of mental health disorders while coordinating care with medical professionals. This role requires competency at the following: intake assessment, diagnosis/treatment plans, rapport building and ethical use of therapeutic techniques.    

We are looking for someone who is willing to see Adult and Child/Adolescent patients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Supports the Mission, Vision and Values ofCMU Health by providing evidence-based therapies and diagnostic practices using the DSM5 and other standardized diagnostic methods.
• Utilize best practices and benchmarks for continued treatment consistent with psychotherapists in the geographic area.
• Provides patient care while maintaining electronic medical records and treatment plans to ensure consistent and ethical care.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This is not a supervisory position.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Outpatient clinical setting.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s Degree or PhD/PsyD
• Clinical licensure: LPC, LMSW, LLP, LP (Preferred)
• Mental health counseling: 1 year (Preferred)
