About the Role:
As a Patient Services Associate, you will provide vital administrative and operational support to our Patient Services department. Your role will include managing medical records, assisting patients and visitors, handling phone inquiries, scheduling appointments, and ensuring accurate insurance and demographic data entry. Professionalism, communication skills, and a passion for outstanding patient service are essential to succeed in this role.
What Youll Do:
- Greet and assist patients and visitors with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring timely attendance.
- Maintain and update patient records accurately within our EMR system.
- Handle phone inquiries and route calls appropriately.
- Manage patient release forms and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to legal and organizational standards.
What Were Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Knowledge of medical terminology (Required).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills (Required).
- Proficiency with computer applications and ability to learn scheduling software (Required).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with multicultural sensitivity (Required).
- Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting (Preferred).
- Experience working in a multi-specialty clinical environment (Preferred).
Working Environment:
- Fast-paced office setting with frequent interruptions and interactions.
- Prolonged periods of sitting, typing, and phone operations.
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
