Deburr Technician - 2nd Shift - (1102-A)  (Full Time)

Position Summary

Responsible for supporting the manufacture of aerospace gears, gearboxes, and associated hardware by following and executing all written instructions related to the non-automated deburring, as well as standard edge breaks, specifically dimensioned edge breaks and polishing.

Essential Functions

Ability to perform precise deburring

Read, understand and follow process instructions

Inspect work efficiently

Identify visually non-conforming product and report to supervisor

Maintain a clean and organized work station

Operate with a sense of urgency while always focusing on safety

Communicate effectively with management and employees

Excellent attitude and teamwork

Experience and Education

A minimum of 2 years of work experience in an OEM aerospace deburring

Reasonable mechanical aptitude

High school diploma or equivalent required

Certificate from vocational school or college program is a plus

Competencies and Skills

Extreme attention to detail

Ability to safely use high speed hand deburring tools

Skilled with basic hand deburring tools

Ability to work with magnification and enhanced lighting instruments

Ability to utilize basic inspection tools including thread and cylindrical go, no-go and calipers

Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions

Results-driven

Very basic computer literacy

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Compensation

$40000 - $100000 / year

Compensation is paid hourly and may be adjusted based on level of experience, overtime and shift.
