Lead Bartender/Mixologist (Full Time)

Job Summary
Possessing a refined and in-depth knowledge of the art and craft of mixing drinks, the Lead Bartender/Mixologist isresponsible for all aspects of quality and consistency with the beverage program, including menus and recipes, creating innovative drinks,beverage inventories,and training Bartender staff in addition to exceeding guest expectations by providing friendly, prompt, and attentive service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Highly knowledgeable in the art of mixology, alcohol chemistry, cocktails (both classic and modern), current trends and methods, while showcasing skills through creations and service.
- Responsible for all aspects of quality and consistency with the beverage program, including creating menus and recipes.
- Ensure drink consistency, manage inventory, ensure proper bar closing procedures, and assign bartender service areas.
- Ensure that the bar staff completes side work, maintain pars and provides positive customer experiences while consistently producing fresh, from scratch cocktails to recipe.
- Mentor, train, and oversee bar staff with preparation and presentation of food and beverages, proper cashiering procedures, and thorough bar setup and break down.
- Conduct monthly beverage inventories; ensure that par levels remain consistent.
- Attend pre-shift meetings for demonstrations, explanations, and upselling tips for all bar and service staff.
- Properly and thoroughly set-up all areas of Bar1200; perform all pre-opening, opening, and closing side work duties during shift (e.g. ensure that floor drains are clear of debris).
- Check identification to verify legal age (21) requirements for all guests.
- Must be able to cross-train in other F&B related areas.

Essential Skills, Experience, and Education include:
- One year certificate from college or technical school in Mixology; or 4-5 years related experience, including a minimum of 1 year as a Mixologist (required); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High volume, fast-paced work environment experience is required.
- Aloha experience is a plus.
- Mixology certification is required.
- Bystander Intervention Training is required.
- Food Handlers card is required.
- Sommelier certification is preferred.
- Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) Certification is a plus.
- Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification is a plus.
- Proficient in English- verbal and written.
- Must have flexible work availability- all shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements include:
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Salary Range: $20.61 + Tips
