PAY: $14 Hour

MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD TO BE CONSIDERED

Shifts include Saturdays, Sundays, Weekdays when needed

15 - 20 hours per week

Job Description:

As a Barista in our We Proudly Serve Starbucks department, you will provide the customer with prompt service, quality beverages, and maintain a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Opening for the day - responsible for preparing for customer arrivals, having sugars, stir sticks, creamer, etc. ready for customers, checking cafe tables, chairs, and floor to make sure everything is presentable.
During shift - responsible for greeting customers, taking customer orders, and preparing quality beverages consistently for customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Keeping cafe area clean and chairs pushed in. Keeping the coffee area clean and organized. Keeping sugars, creamers, stir sticks, napkins, etc. stocked. Keep up with the demand for coffee.
Closing for the day - responsible for washing dishes, cleaning coffee pots, wiping off counters, tables, and chairs, emptying trash, sweeping floor. Turning off coffee makers and lights, making the area look presentable for the next morning.
Operates a cash register, counts change back, follows cash handling policies.
Maintains a positive and calm demeanor at periods of high volume.
Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
Provides feedback to management regarding efficiencies, safety, productivity, etc.
The above responsibilities and additional duties may vary as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Barista Experience Required
Must be able to work well alone and as a team depending on the day and shift.
Must have good customer service skills.
Must be able to multi-task.
Must be able to work at a fast pace to keep up with customer demand on busy days.
Must have good attention to detail.
Must be able to handle money with accuracy.

Physical Expectations:

Standing/walking for long periods of time
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
